Obituary

Parker R. Wenk

Died April 24, 2008
 

Parker Richeson Wenk, 53, of Vienna, a longtime kindergarten teacher at Louise Archer Elementary School in Vienna, died of cancer April 24 at her sister’s home in North Carolina.

She was born in Lynchburg to the late Ramey Watts and Allene Watts Richeson. Ms. Wenk graduated from Virginia Tech.

She had worked at Louise Archer as both a teacher and an aide for 15 years. She moved to Vienna in 1988 and was a member of the Vienna Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Andrew W. Wenk of Bowling Green, Ky., and Matthew D. Wenk of Irving, Texas; her sister, Martha R. Preddy of Garner, N.C.; and two nieces.

Ms. Wenk was buried in Amherst, Va.
