Election officers needed

The Fairfax County Office of Elections is in need of precinct election officers to work at polling sites for the Nov. 4 election.

The county will require over 3,000 people to serve as election officers in its 228 precincts on Election Day.

Applicants must be registered to vote in Virginia and cannot hold an elected office or be the employee of an elected official.

Officers must be available to work the entire day Nov. 4 beginning at 5 a.m.

All officers are required to attend a training lasting about two hours. The pay ranges from$100 to $200, depending on responsibilities.
