Rotary donates dictionaries

The Rotary Club of Fairfax is donating 800 dictionaries to third-graders in area schools. This is the third year of the club's Dictionary Literacy Program.

“The Rotary Club of Fairfax knows that literacy is essential to a thriving community," said Fairfax High School Principal Scott Brabrand, a Rotary member. "Our distribution of dictionaries to all third graders in the Fairfax Pyramid reinforces to students and to the community our belief in the power of reading and writing as we prepare our youth for the challenges of the 21st century.”
