Public input sought for Accotink Creek

The introductory and issues scoping forum of the Fairfax County watershed management plans for Accotink Creek will be held on Oct. 7. The county is seeking public input in the development of the watershed management plans for this watershed.

The public participation meeting, which is open to all residents, will be held at the West Springfield High School cafeteria at 6100 Rolling Road in Springfield. Registration is from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The meeting is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The headwaters of Accotink Creek are located in the center of Fairfax County. The stream drains southeast to Accotink Bay, to Gunston Cove and then to the Potomac River. For more information, call 703-324-5500
