Weapon brought on school property

A 14-year-old boy was arrested at Rose Hill Elementary School for possessing a weapon on school property.

On April 24, at around 5:30 p.m., the boy was being questioned by police when officers found a knife buried in a nearby potted plant. The boy was arrested and taken to the Franconia District Station and was released on a summons. Police would not comment on whether the boy was a student at the school, if he took the knife to school with him or if anyone else was present at the time of the arrest.
